Photo editing is more a task than fun for me. I'm not a big editor/manipulator of my photos. I just don't want to pay someone every month for the rest of my life to be able to edit my own photos. I'm open to anything and really don't mind spending money on the more expensive products. If anyone wants to suggest another photo editor/converter/cataloger I'm all ears. It wouldn't be the end of the world if I couldn't import the LR catalog but it would be nice to do. I thought Luminar could import LR catalogs but an answer on another forum seems to suggest no. Really I'm trying to get away from LR, but just wanted to ease into Luminar, or quite frankly anything else, while keeping my LR file structure and catalog for now.Ī while back I looked at several different options but forgot exactly what does what. I guess I could copy the CR3 files to a temporary directory, convert them there and then import to LR form that folder. Do you know if it is easy to do a large batch of files? ![]() Yes I'm aware I can convert the CR3 to DNG with the converter. DNG files are supported in both Lightroom 6 and Luminar. ![]() The problem is in your settings.Īll I can offer is to use the free Adobe DNG converter. Even when I "import as DNG" I don't think it sees the CR3's either. When trying to import photos from the SD card, LR Classic only sees he jpegs, and ignores the CR3 files.
